AJE Earring Challenge: Weeks 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20......

Art Jewelry Elements is hosting a wonderful earring challenge.  The challenge is to make a pair of earrings a week.  Once again, I am behind on my projects.  My oldest son had kidney problems when he was a toddler, and the problem back.  Not bad, just back with many appointments with specialists.  My middle son's fall 2012 football injury to his elbow--not healing/growing the way it should.  Surgery in two weeks.  My youngest is having trouble sleeping more than 4 hours a night.  He has CP, which means I or my husband have to stay up with him until he decides to fall asleep.  Last, but not least, the doctors determined that my mom has some internal bleeding--more tests and specialists.  Now, she is waiting to hear back from the doctors (as am I).  Can you say stressful summer ahead for the Stanzianos?

 Well, back to earrings.

    So sorry to hear about all the health problems your family is experiencing! Why is it so often that when it rains it pours? I think my favorites of your earrings are weeks 19 and 17...but they are all lovely! So much fun to see what everyone is making.

Right to the good stuff..... Made with Rhonda's beaded bead, crystals, and agate rondelles. Made with Rhonda's (she made it) clasp and lampwork focal. Bracelet made with brown rainbow bugle beads supplied by Rhonda. Problem: Northridge Publishing Company (Bead Trends Magazine)

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I was a long time reader of Bead Trends Magazine .  It was a publication filled with beautiful handmade jewelry and inspiration.  But now the not so beautiful side to Northridge Publishing Company.   Bead Trends last issue was for July.  I don't know about anyone else, but Northridge Publishing Company did not notify me that the magazine would no longer be published. I used my credit card to set up monthly transactions for the magazine. Evidence of Bead Trends disappeared from all social media outlets.  So I went to the website and deleted my credit card information.  Charges continued to show up on my statement for August, September, and October.  If a charge shows up for November....... I contacted Northridge Publishing Company several times via their chat room.  No response.  I sent two emails.  Finally today, I received an email from their customer service. 7th Bead Soup Blog Party: 1st Reveal!!!

Here is a pic of my final design for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party , hosted by Lori Anderson of Pretty Things.  It was a lot of fun, and I still have about 50% of party goer blogs to visit. Last minute additions:  Working with leftover soup!  Bracelet made with gorgeous teal agates.  I love the clasp.  I didn't know it was a clasp until it stuck to some metal chain.  Investigating further, I found it was a magnetic clasp.  How cool is that?  Jayashree sent me a wonderful soup.  Believe it or not, I still have more soup!  Stay tuned for more. Now, what to do with the brass stampings..... Just added a few swarovski pearls and walla!  Dangle earrings! Now it is time for me to show off some of what I made with the bead soup from Jayashree Paramesh, Nchantme .
