2012 Saki Silver Giveaway Winner: Update

Last year, I won the Backstory Beads Saki Silver giveaway.  Karin, the host of the giveaway, asked that I let her know what I make with those beautiful clasps and bead soup.

Every so often, I like to learn a new bead stitch.  I can now say I have mastered the netted rope, thanks to a tutorial from IntricatesByDeb.  Karin's bead soup was made up of pacific opal crystals and seed beads of all shapes in pinks, browns, deep reds, and teal blues.  I added tahitian swarovski pearls to the mix and this is the result.

Yes, I painstakingly separated the beads by size.

Oooh - I love the deep teal of those Tahitian pearls, one of my favorites. Worn with white, this bracelet would look very Caribbean beach-inspired. Don't you love netting? It always produces the perfect rope and it's so adaptable! Beautifully done!
