What are your dreams? Is there a dream you are watching unfold now? What has been your greatest dream to come true? If you could be, do, or have anything, what would that be? All I want is for my family to be happy, healthy and successful in anything they want to do or be in life!
Each participant was given a bead created by artist Patricia Handschuh of The Color of Dreams Boutique bead to design with. Our host for this hop, Toltec Jewels, of Jewel School Friends, wants each participant to create with the bead and show our dreams! Toltec Jewels treated everyone to the beads, and Patricia donated a matched set of her beads for the blog hop reveal give-a-way. I, of course, joined late and purchased a few beads from Patricia so that I could participate in the hop. After a lot of postal drama,
my package finally arrived!
These beautiful beads should inspire some wonderful dreams! The round beads were a surprise--thanks Patricia.
Since I signed up at the last minute, and the post office messed up, I ran short of time! Nothing new for me though (smiles). I decided to make a pair of earrings with the ribbon pillows.
Some of you have been asking about the rhinestone dangles. They can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or their online shop: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/multi-color-crystal-charm-cluster-pendant-318345/
Many thanks to our Hostess,TJ and featured artist, Patricia! Let's get hopping!

Since the beads didn't arrive until April 2, I will have to get to work on my dreams.
The one rule for the upcoming Color of Dreams Blog Hop: Let's focus on as many dreams as possible with the idea, "If we can dream it, we can achieve it." So, I'll try creating "from the end" -- as if my dream has come true -- using a jewelry design to do so. Since I signed up at the last minute, and the post office messed up, I ran short of time! Nothing new for me though (smiles). I decided to make a pair of earrings with the ribbon pillows.

Totally LOVE what you made! How beautiful! jean
ReplyDeleteI have a huge challenge creating earrings, so I'm totally thrilled to see your beautiful design! I love those tiny accent beads, where did you find those? These would definitely be a 'go to' pair for me!
ReplyDeleteI got the enameled rhinestone dangles from my local Hobby Lobby store under their Metal Gallery label.
DeletePretty colors on your beads. ... I procrastinated and made my whole necklace last nite I dream of not procrastinating. Lol
ReplyDeleteOh my, Renetha, nothing like adding some extra drama to your life LOL. Like you need it!
ReplyDeleteThose ribbon beads are sublime, aren't they? They look exactly like little gifts lovingly wrapped by a good friend. I think your earring design features them wonderfully... what are those yummy little beads that look like candy? Mmmm-mmmm!
Oh wow! Now those earrings are my style-bright and bold! I need those beads!

Renetha your earrings are charming. I bet you will make other wonderful pieces with the extra beads.
ReplyDeleteThe ribbon pillows are beautiful! Have fun creating!!
ReplyDeleteWhat great earrings! I had to chuckle about making earrings because you were short on time because for me, they always take the longest.
ReplyDeleteEarrings have always been easiest for me because they are little pieces of art for the ear. The prettier the bead the prettier the earrings!
DeleteBeautiful. I can so see wearing those earrings. They look like they would have a great "swing" to them. Great job and thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteSweet earrings. I want me some DOTS, the ones you eat off of a piece of paper.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous earrings! Oh, the colours are to die for! Nice design for your earrings. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous earrings, so bright and cheery and just in time for spring! Love them, love the beads.
ReplyDeleteVery SPRING earings love them !!
ReplyDeletehow ADORABLE! i love the little dangles.... willing to share what they are and where a girl might find some? =) just absolutely sweet!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I picked up the little dangles at Hobby Lobby's beads/findings section. The label was Metal Gallery.
DeleteThe earrings are so sweet - I really like them.
ReplyDeleteJust right for spring.

ReplyDeleteOoh such beautiful earriings. Full of colour, sparkles and delight.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to join in. Such pretty earrings. Love all the color in them.
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! Just perfect ffor spring. Jean sent me ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat earrings for the spring! I love the colors you used.
ReplyDeleteI am so honored you created and shared your wonderful talents, Renetha! I LOVE your earrings. Earrings are a challenge for me too, as I read in a comment, and they way you used all the elements is fascinating to me. Beautiful! The gold findings are exquisite (I can never get enough gold & brass jewelry), and the rhinestone dangles are very pretty and unique -- love how you used the style of design and colors in your jewelry art to create movement! These must feel so good to wear, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a special part of our hop with your lovely jewelry! Bravo and star status to you! xxoo Rita
Did you ever find out why it took so long to get your beads??? You did a great job! The earrings are really pretty! Have a Blessed Day!
ReplyDeleteThose are perfect little earrings ! You did very well in spite of post office drama <3 Sorry this comment took so long, this week has been a little heretic.
ReplyDeleteGreat earrings, such ♥sweet colours! Must be great to wear! There are a lot of other beauties waiting for you on the beading table :-) Have fun with them, and anything else you create!
