Seasons Blog Hop Reveal!

Lisa Lodge of A Grateful Artist Blog has hosted many blog hops.  I was lucky enough to get in at the last minute to sign up for the Season’s Blog Hop.    Each participant ordered kits that were put together by Lisa.  The kits are all different and the rules are to make something with the beads and findings you receive.  My kit was all pinks and greens which reminded me of spring and flowers.

I made a necklace and earrings.  I made a two-sided pendant, but realized I could only photo one side because the bird pendant only had one side.  My apologies for the delay in posting, but sometimes family life takes up more of my time than beading (and I wouldn't have it any other way!)

Love Birds......

Before I sign off, please visit the other pages for more wonderful designs.  Thank you Lisa for hosting the Season's Blog Hop as well as the Giveaway!

Of course there is a giveaway!  Just leave one comment the Grateful Artist Blog  (by midnight EST on July 13th, 2013) to be entered. US/Canada only, please. What is the prize? Visit Lisa's blog to find out.!

Now, please check out all of the jewelry awesomeness created by the participants:

  2. Renetha - I really like your lovebirds pendant. The necklace and earrings came out very well. The soft color palette looks "just right". Thanks for participating in the hop!

  3. Oh, what a beautiful beaded pendant, Renetha! I would love to know how to create a gorgeous frame like yours! So pretty, and soft and gentle. I can hear the love birds singing! ;)

The spring theme in your necklace and earrings is lovely. The pastel soup you received is sweet -- very special in our hop (I've seen only green so far), and you created gorgeous pieces with it.

Your pastel pink and cream earrings and coordinating soft green, peach, pink and cream lovebird beadwoven necklace is gorgeous! Light and airy, charming and soft, like a spring morning!

    Love,
    Rita

BSBP#8: The Big Reveal

Right to the good stuff..... Made with Rhonda's beaded bead, crystals, and agate rondelles. Made with Rhonda's (she made it) clasp and lampwork focal. Bracelet made with brown rainbow bugle beads supplied by Rhonda. Bracelet is based on a tutorial, Toskana by SeeBead .  I used Czech twins instead of tila or tile beads.  I didn't have enough tile beads so the twins made a wonderful substitution. Soup I started with. Thank you Lori for hosting a wonderful 8th swap and blog hop!  Thank you Rhonda for a most enjoyable soup!  To see other simmering soups and creations visit the BSBP blog for the list of participants (about 500)! Problem: Northridge Publishing Company (Bead Trends Magazine)

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I was a long time reader of Bead Trends Magazine .  It was a publication filled with beautiful handmade jewelry and inspiration.  But now the not so beautiful side to Northridge Publishing Company.   Bead Trends last issue was for July.  I don't know about anyone else, but Northridge Publishing Company did not notify me that the magazine would no longer be published. I used my credit card to set up monthly transactions for the magazine. Evidence of Bead Trends disappeared from all social media outlets.  So I went to the website and deleted my credit card information.  Charges continued to show up on my statement for August, September, and October.  If a charge shows up for November....... I contacted Northridge Publishing Company several times via their chat room.  No response.  I sent two emails.  Finally today, I received an email from their customer service. Northridge Publication h...

7th Bead Soup Blog Party: 1st Reveal!!!

Here is a pic of my final design for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party , hosted by Lori Anderson of Pretty Things.  It was a lot of fun, and I still have about 50% of party goer blogs to visit. Last minute additions:  Working with leftover soup!  Bracelet made with gorgeous teal agates.  I love the clasp.  I didn't know it was a clasp until it stuck to some metal chain.  Investigating further, I found it was a magnetic clasp.  How cool is that?  Jayashree sent me a wonderful soup.  Believe it or not, I still have more soup!  Stay tuned for more. Now, what to do with the brass stampings..... Just added a few swarovski pearls and walla!  Dangle earrings! Now it is time for me to show off some of what I made with the bead soup from Jayashree Paramesh, Nchantme . The funny thing is, I am not done yet.  I have soup leftover.  I will post more, if I have time. Don't forget to stop by Jayashree...
