It appears that posts / events show up differently on a PC vs a mobile device... Here are the details for the Cabochon Giveaway, for those who cannot access the event from their device.... Please e-mail us your information - that is how you enter the contest. Indigo Turtle Art is launching a new product line ~ Contemporary Porcelain Cabochons ~ perfect for your wire/metal/PMC/bead work or mixed media projects. To kick off this new product line, obtain design feedback and additional visibility ~ we are giving away 20 cabochons to 20 lucky artisans who incorporate cabochons into their work. The contest is limited to artisans within the United States, unless you are willing to pay for the additional postage to ship the free cabochon to your foreign address.
We are looking for prolific artisans who have an avid following of customers:

* We would appreciate receiving the design feed back as soon as possible so we may incorporate any necessary changes into the next group of pieces
* You will create a finished item using the cabochon we mail you
* We hope that you will be excited to try the cabochon in one of your designs and can create a finished piece within the next few months.
Once the design is finished, you agree to:
• Promote the finished item on your web based venues giving us credit for the cabochon, linking back to our Facebook page (when allowed) in each promotion
• Provide us with a digital file of a promotional quality photo and permission to use it in our promotions
We in turn will give you credit for the finished design & link back to a site of your choosing, when using the photo of your finished piece in our promotions.

BSBP#8: The Big Reveal

Right to the good stuff..... Made with Rhonda's beaded bead, crystals, and agate rondelles. Made with Rhonda's (she made it) clasp and lampwork focal. Bracelet made with brown rainbow bugle beads supplied by Rhonda. Bracelet is based on a tutorial, Toskana by SeeBead .  I used Czech twins instead of tila or tile beads.  I didn't have enough tile beads so the twins made a wonderful substitution. Soup I started with. Thank you Lori for hosting a wonderful 8th swap and blog hop!  Thank you Rhonda for a most enjoyable soup!  To see other simmering soups and creations visit the BSBP blog for the list of participants (about 500)! Problem: Northridge Publishing Company (Bead Trends Magazine)

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I was a long time reader of Bead Trends Magazine .  It was a publication filled with beautiful handmade jewelry and inspiration.  But now the not so beautiful side to Northridge Publishing Company.   Bead Trends last issue was for July.  I don't know about anyone else, but Northridge Publishing Company did not notify me that the magazine would no longer be published. I used my credit card to set up monthly transactions for the magazine. Evidence of Bead Trends disappeared from all social media outlets.  So I went to the website and deleted my credit card information.  Charges continued to show up on my statement for August, September, and October.  If a charge shows up for November....... I contacted Northridge Publishing Company several times via their chat room.  No response.  I sent two emails.  Finally today, I received an email from their customer service. 7th Bead Soup Blog Party: 1st Reveal!!!

Here is a pic of my final design for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party , hosted by Lori Anderson of Pretty Things.  It was a lot of fun, and I still have about 50% of party goer blogs to visit. Last minute additions:  Working with leftover soup!  Bracelet made with gorgeous teal agates.  I love the clasp.  I didn't know it was a clasp until it stuck to some metal chain.  Investigating further, I found it was a magnetic clasp.  How cool is that?  Jayashree sent me a wonderful soup.  Believe it or not, I still have more soup!  Stay tuned for more. Now, what to do with the brass stampings..... Just added a few swarovski pearls and walla!  Dangle earrings! Now it is time for me to show off some of what I made with the bead soup from Jayashree Paramesh, Nchantme . The funny thing is, I am not done yet.  I have soup leftover.  I will post more, if I have time. Don't forget to stop by Jayashree...
