There aren't a lot of a lot of toys that you can purchase for an 11 year old with cerebral palsy who doesn't walk, talk, is developmentally delayed, and totally dependent on his family for his care. However, during one of his P/T visits, his therapist introduced Leo to an IPad as a way to make him focus on using his hands more. Leo loved it. So we went out and got him one of his own. My husband loaded it up with a few apps that whistle, ding and talk when Leo does manage to open them. He also uploaded pics of the family. I caught Leo playing with his IPad, but he looked away when he heard the camera beep.
My youngest son Leo playing with his Ipad. He loves to get under furniture!

I love this picture and I bet Leo is able to have fun with his iPad. It is an amazing thing and my grand kids are much better at it than I am.
ReplyDeleteOh what a doll!!!! Zack loves playing with the Nook as a tablet -- it's helped him in a lot of ways.
