BSBP Bead Hoarders Edition Blog & Pinterest Hop

Between my mother's surgery and recovery, the shower valve's constant drip, keeping my A1C levels down, and taking classes in creating with precious metal clay, I am well and truly stressed out. However, I did manage to at least finish the pendant, even though I will probably redo it sometime in the future. The bead(s) my partner Shai sent are unique and in some of my favorite color to work with--copper with bronze tones. You can tell the piece was rushed a bit.  I plan to make a Kumihimo rope to finish the design.



I also quickly made a pair of earrings from the ceramic beads.

    Beautiful designs - I love your bead embroidery to bring those pieces together as a pendant and the rope will finish it off perfectly I'm sure.

    I just love what you did with the focal! Be sure to show it off when you get it finished.

    Those earrings are incredible! I had that pair of beads for a few years & never could come up with a design to do them justice.

    The bead embroidery around the focal raises it to a whole new level. It will be cool to see the piece come together with a beaded rope. I really love the long tassely earrings. Great design. Great use of your soup!

    Those are my favorite colors too. I'm drooling over my keyboard now. I LOVE how you did your seed bead work (I don't have the patience, eyes, or neck for that much detail) you really pulled it off and I can't tell it was rushed. My other fave are the earrings with unique seed danglies. Too fun - where didja get those seeds?
    Great job, great soup - hope life calms a bit for you.

Right to the good stuff..... Made with Rhonda's beaded bead, crystals, and agate rondelles. Made with Rhonda's (she made it) clasp and lampwork focal. Bracelet made with brown rainbow bugle beads supplied by Rhonda. Bracelet is based on a tutorial, Toskana by SeeBead .  I used Czech twins instead of tila or tile beads.  I didn't have enough tile beads so the twins made a wonderful substitution. Soup I started with. 7th Bead Soup Blog Party: 1st Reveal!!!

Here is a pic of my final design for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party , hosted by Lori Anderson of Pretty Things.  It was a lot of fun, and I still have about 50% of party goer blogs to visit. Last minute additions:  Working with leftover soup!  Bracelet made with gorgeous teal agates.  I love the clasp.  I didn't know it was a clasp until it stuck to some metal chain.  Investigating further, I found it was a magnetic clasp.  How cool is that?  Jayashree sent me a wonderful soup.  Believe it or not, I still have more soup!  Stay tuned for more. Now, what to do with the brass stampings..... Just added a few swarovski pearls and walla!  Dangle earrings! Now it is time for me to show off some of what I made with the bead soup from Jayashree Paramesh, Nchantme . The funny thing is, I am not done yet.  I have soup leftover.  I will post more, if I have time. Don't forget to stop by Jayashree...

2019 Bead Peeps Swap & Hop Reveal!

To my Peeps: I think as I get older, sickness lasts longer. Everyone is better now and down to sniffles.  On to the good stuff. My partner for this years' Swap & Hop was Dain Schlegel of Dainty Designs.  However, she is recovering from a surgery and wasn't able to get beads to me.  I hope she gets better soon.  So Linda Anderson set me up with an Angel.  Krafty Max sent me a whole lot of beads. Beads on strings, beads in tubes, stone cabochons, fused glass pendants, and Czech beads, rounds, and crystals. Although, I didn't use all of the beads, I did manage to put together a few pendants and UFOs. The pendant above is one of the stones I worked with. Here are the beads she sent: Here is a pendant made with a few blue and white stones from KM. It's finished, I just need to bead up a rope.
